The museum is located in one of the oldest buildings of the city.
The present-day building of Žlobin History and Local Studies Museum was built in nineteen eleven as a chapel. But in nineteen seventeen the Soviets took away the building of the chapel from faithful. During the Second World War there was a German staff in it and after the War – a kindergarten. In nineteen ninety-two an exposition of the museum settled in this building. But inhabitants remembered the original function of the building and in two thousand a cross with a shingle was established in memory of the fact that once there was the chapel here.
