The paper-mill is the main pride of the city.

Old walls of the building of the Dobruš paper-mill are made of red brick and look straight on a central street of the city. One can approach and touch them. In eighteen thirty-four Dobruš passed into possession to a Russian general-field marshal Ivan Paskevič. In eighteen seventy his son Fiodar Ivanavič Paskevič invited foreign specialists to the city for creation of a large paper-mill. In nineteen three the paper enterprise in Dobruš where more than nine hundred people were working at that time entered into the ten largest enterprises of Russian Empire. By the way, from the mill houses were being built for workers. They also remained over a road – of the same red brick. In Soviet times the Dobruš paper-mill was one of the largest paper enterprises of the USSR. The mill also works nowadays. Practically every Belarusian pupil uses production of the Dobruš paper-mill
