A church is a monument of a mixed retrospective Russian style and the classicism.

There is no common opinion among scholars about the time of erection of the temple but the most authentic date is the eighteen forty-eight. And already less than in thirty years the church became the cathedral temple. A governor-general of Vilnia Mikhail Nikolayevich Muravjov was a sponsor of the building of the temple. The church building was consecrated in eighteen sixty seven. In Soviet times the church was wanted to be destroyed but for some reasons it didn't manage to do this. Nevertheless the temple was closed. After the Second World War the building of the church was damaged. But its further destiny developed unusually for Belarus of that time – according to evidences in nineteen fifties the church was being restored. Now the building of the church was renewed and is a cathedral functioning Orthodox temple of Klimavičy.
