Foundation of the city in eighteen seventy-two owes to a railroad. One of the biggest junctions of Belarus is situated in Asipovičy.

History of the Asipovičy railway begins in eighteen seventy-three when the station Asipovičy was built as a part of Libava-Romienskaya railroad. Then a wooden railway terminal, a goods yard, a covered and an opened platform and five wooden houses for contributors were raised at the station. A row of buildings of the end of the nineteenth – the beginning of the twentieth century has remained at the station and its localities. An administrative and a ministerial housing and also a locomotive depot have remained from the pre-revolutionary times. A building of a present-day terminal was being raised in the fifties of the twentieth century. A building of a water tower of idem period has remained abreast. A railroad bridge was built in nineteen fifty-three for the purpose of safety of passengers. A monument to a locomotive EM – 726-23 stays not far from the terminal. It was established in honor of one hundred thirtieth anniversary of the city. Even an arms of the city on which there is an image of a locomotive tells that Asipovičy is a city of railroaders.
