The Orthodox Church of the Ascension is the only church in present-day Horki.

In a centre of the Kazimiraŭskaya Sloboda in former Market Public Square on a beautiful rising ground not far from a lake on the Kuzniacova Street stands the “White Stone” Orthodox Saint-Ascension church built in the middle of the nineteenth century. The Kazimiraŭskaya Sloboda by itself was named so in honor of Kazimir Leon Sapieha (magnates family of Sapieha was possessing Horki during the sixteenth – seventeenth century). Kazimir Sapieha was promoting increase and development of the city, was equipping it with modern amenities. A water mill which was situated in an artificial lake was built here by his order.
