Kobryn Central Church of Evangelical Christian Baptists is one of the largest Protestant churches in our country and the main Baptist church in Kobryn. The temple is located in the historical center of Kobryn at 23 Vulica Čyhunačnaja. In 2024, the Kobryn Central Church of the ECB will be 100 years old.

Evangelical believers appeared in Kobryn at the beginning of the 1920s during the Great Evangelical Awakening, which swept Western Belarus at that time. The first evangelical preacher in Kobryn was Jury Sacevič, who together with Fiodar Jakimuk founded the Evangelical church in 1924. At the beginning, believers gathered in the house of Jury Sacevič at 35 Vulica Paliavaja. The first baptism in Kobryn, conducted by pastor Kanstancin Jaraševič, took place on September 28, 1924. It is from this date that the Kobryn Central Church of the ECB conducts its chronology.

The Kobryn church grew rapidly, and soon the believers bought a site in the city for the construction of a prayer house at 15 Vulica Čyhunačnaja. At the same time, Jan Bukovič joined the team of Kobryn ministers, who played a major role in the history of the Kobryn church of the ECB. In 1928, the Assosiation of Churches of Christ Evangelical Confession was established with the center in Kobryn. Kanstancin Jaraševič became the head of this association, and Jan Bukovič was his deputy. The estate of the Assosiation of Churches of Christ was in Kobryn at 15 Vulica Čyhunačnaja. The Churches of Christ became a fairly large Protestant denomination, which included dozens of local churches in Western Belarus.

After the Second World War, the Kobryn believers continued their service in the conditions of the atheistic policy of the Soviet Union. During the perestroika, they received permission to build a new temple. In 1989–1993, the prayer house of the Kobryn Central Church of the ECB was under construction at 23 Vulica Čyhunačnaja. Under the leadership of architect Aliaksiej Andrajuk and designer Alieh Chrušč, a beautiful and majestic temple was built, which can accommodate 1,400 people at a time. To date, the Kobryn Central Church of the EHB is the largest Baptist church in Belarus.
