A Holy Trinity church in Rečyca is a striking example of neo-Gothic architecture of the seventeenth century.
The Holy Trinity church is the first Catholic temple in Rečyca which appeared already in sixteen thirty-four. The new wooden Holy Trinity church and a cloister near it were built in the middle of the eighteenth century. After the insurrection in eighteen thirty – eighteen thirty-one the Russian government started closing Catholic cloisters and churches. The Holy Trinity church started gradually falling into decay. A project of a new church had been created in eighteen sixty-one but because of the absence of financial assets it wasn’t realized. A real building was started in eighteen ninety-six by a project of the architect Yuzaf Dziakonski. The building dragged on for seven years. Finally on the first of June, nineteen three a new building of the Holy Trinity church was consecrated. In times of Soviet authority the building was being used as a storehouse, an electric power station, a bar. In nineteen ninety-nine the temple was returned to the faithful.
