Thanks to them, in 1287 Kobryn was entered into the chronicle, and this event is considered the first written mention of Kobryn. In the Ipatiev Chronicle there is a record that Volyn Prince Vladimir Vasilkovich gave the city to his wife Olga Romanovna.
In 2009, a 3-meter bronze monument "To the Founder of the City", the author of which was the sculptor Aliaksandr Lyščyk, was installed in Kobryn. The monument to Prince Vladimir Vasilkovich and Princess Olga Romanovna is located on the pedestrian Vulica Suvorava. This is a joint project developed by the district department of culture, famous Belarusian architects. The plot of the almost three-meter composition is symbolic – the entrance to the city through the arch of Prince Vladimir Vasilkovich and Princess Olga. The bronze prince, standing next to his wife, blesses the city and all its inhabitants. On a separate plate there is a fragment of the text of the Ipatiev Chronicle, in which Prince Vladimir bequeaths the city of Kobryn to his wife Princess Olga.
