The Kobryn museum named after A.V. Suvorov is the only museum in Belarus directly connected with the personality of the Russian commander of the XVIII century. Rich collections of authentic objects of the XVI—XIX centuries allowed to create 2 unique expositions on military history.

The Kobryn Military History Museum named after Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov was founded on June 18, 1946. The opening of the first exposition took place on May 1, 1948 in a house that belonged to the commander at the end of the XVIII century. In 1950, a bronze bust of Suvorov was installed in front of the entrance to the museum. In 1987, the construction of a new museum building made of red brick, stylized as a fortress, began. It houses the exposition “Seven Centuries of Kobryn”, which was opened in 1995. It is based on the military history of the Kobryn region in the context of the military history of Belarus of the XIII—XX centuries. In the old building of the "Suvorov House" there is an exposition dedicated directly to the life and military activities of Alexander Suvorov. It was opened after another renovation in 2016.
