The Slaŭharadski District Historical and Local Lore Museum was founded in 2011 and opened to visitors in 2015.
The museum is a scientific and research institution, an educational center, and serves as a scientific, cultural, and educational hub for museum affairs. The main tasks of the museum are collection, scientific processing, and preservation of historical and cultural values; creation of scientifically based exhibitions and displays; and activities to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the region.
The museum features 4 exhibition halls: "Establishment of Soviet Power in the Prapojsk Volost of Bychaŭ District. The Region in the 1920s-1930s. Prapojsk District during the Great Patriotic War", "Ethnography", "Slaŭharadski District as part of the BSSR in the 1960s–1991", "Archaeology and Nature", as well as an display hall.
Particularly interesting and valuable exhibits include items of decorative and applied arts (embroidered towels, bedspreads, tablecloths), coins from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Russian Empire, traditional household objects, pottery products, ceramic tiles with marks of masters, war and labor veterans' awards, badges, and more.
