For the construction of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Hierviaty, a temporary brick factory was built near the village, which produced bricks of very high quality. Lime was also mined nearby, and chicken eggs collected and brought to the construction site by the thousands every day from all over the area were used to strengthen the lime mortar used to build the temple. Many building materials, including roof tiles, were shipped from Germany.
In the course of turbulent historical events of the first half of the 20th century, the power in Hierviaty changed several times. However, the church survived all the wars and calamities and was never seriously damaged. The church is still in excellent condition and is active today. In addition to worship, organ music concerts are also held in the temple building.
The Church of the Holy Trinity is a three-nave single-tower basilica with a transept in the western part, covered with a gable roof made of red tiles. A tall two-storey bell tower is attached to the east of the main nave. Fragments of colored stained glass panels have been preserved in the altar.
