The town park in Astraviec was laid out in the early 1960s. At that time, 500 trees were planted in the center of the town.
The town park has long been one of the most popular places in Astraviec. Parents play here with their children, lovers make appointments, and elderly people like resting in the shade of trees.
Today, the park is decorated with sculptures that were created during the plein air in 2008 and were donated by sculptors to Astraviec in honor of the town's 540th anniversary. One of the most favorite of the townspeople is the sculpture “Dubočak” ("Oak") – an image of a boy sitting with an oak branch in his hands. This branch in the hands is not accidental – it is the oak that is on the town coat of arms as a symbol of wisdom and longevity. “Dubočak” was created by the sculptor Eduard Astafjeŭ, who is also the author of the monument to Francišak Skaryna in Prague. The second element of the city's coat of arms – the trout – was also embodied in the sculpture.
In total, the city is decorated with 10 sculptures installed both in the park and on the embankment.
