Saint Ann’s Church is a wonderful example of sacral architecture of the beginning of the nineteenth century.

Saint Ann’s Church is an Orthodox temple in Stoubcy city. It is situated on a height, thanks to this you’ll find it easily. This temple is a memorial of the architecture of classicism which is characterized by strict canons, straight lines, logicality, and harmony. It is interesting that there are elements of baroque in its architecture. As numerous churches in Belarus Saint Ann’s Church was built in eighteen twenty-five as a Catholic church. The founder of building was a prince Adam Yezhy Chartaryyski, who at that time was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Empire. Saint Ann’s Church was preserved during Soviet times. In fiftieth years of the twentieth century this temple became even an original depository for ancient icons which were subject to destruction during an antireligious company in the Soviet Union.
