The Park of the Homieĺ Palace and Park Ensemble used to be called "Culture and Leisure Park". It is a natural monument of the Republic of Belarus.

The park was established in 1837. The work on the layout of the park was led by the Polish architect Adam Idzkoŭski. The park is divided into two parts by the Liebiadzinaja Pond. There is the Palace of the Rumiancaŭs-Paskievičs, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the chapel-tomb of the Paskievičs in the southern part, and the Winter Garden, an observation tower and attractions – in the northern one.

There are about 5,000 trees in the park. That is why it has particular dendrological value. 84 species of trees and 79 species of shrubs grow on its territory, among which there are many valuable and rare tree species and more than 30 exotic species for Belarus: Niedzwetzky's apple, black pine, comb oak, Amur cork tree, larch and others.

On August 1, 2014, the park was renamed into the "Park of the Homieĺ Palace and Park Ensemble". The area of the natural monument decreased from 25 hectares to 17.7 hectares. The territory where the attractions are located, as well as the Sož river slopes, was excluded from its area. The park is taken under state protection as a natural monument.
