The Triumphal Arch is located in the western part of the city, in the Kazimiraŭka residential area, at the U-turn of Hrunvaĺd Street and Minsk Highway. The architect Vitaĺ Rahaŭcoŭ is the author of the project.

The construction of the Triumphal Arch was timed to coincide with the 750th anniversary of Mahilioŭ, celebrated in 2017. This was the final stage of the reconstruction of the Minsk Highway. The project was planned to be implemented on donations from citizens. Construction began in July 2017, but due to lack of funds the work was suspended. In society, the attitude towards this object was ambiguous. However, in the spring of 2018, the city authorities approached local organizations with a request to provide sponsorship for the construction of the arch. Finally, on October 9, 2018, the Triumphal Arch was inaugurated.

On both sides of the arch there is an inscription “To the Creators of Mahilioŭ in honor of the 750th anniversary of the city”. Also on the arch there are bas-reliefs of the Order of the Great Patriotic War of the 1st degree and of Lenin. There is a capsule with a message to future generations into the basis of a structure.
