The building of Mahilioŭ Railway Station was built in 1902 in the neoclassical style.

Construction of the station began in 1900. Mahilioŭ Railway Station became one of the most beautiful and comfortable railway station buildings of its time, adapted to receive government delegations. Eight years later, a horse-drawn railway line (named konka) was laid to it. The horse tram connected two city squares: Pryvakzalnaja and Hubiernatarskaja square. From 1911, the station could be reached by two taxis belonging to Samuil Sagal, a relative of the famous artist Mark Šahal. During the First World War, the Station building witnessed many events related to the stay in Mahilioŭ of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II.

During the Second World War, the station was damaged and later rebuilt. The modern appearance of the station complex was formed in 2004. The station building was reconstructed, 80% of the original look was returned to it. The checkout and luggage compartment buildings are finished with dark glass. Near the station, guests are greeted by a sculpture of the station superintendent – in a cap with a cockade, with a watch on a chain and a lantern – this is how the head of the station looked during its construction.
