The building of the Peasants’ Land Bank

The building of the Peasants’ Land Bank is an architectural monument of the early 20th century. Located at Vulica Mironava, 33. The building houses the Mahilioŭ Regional Art Museum named after Paviel Maslienikaŭ.

The building was erected in 1903–1914 with features of Art Nouveau, pseudo-Russian style and late Classicism. In plan, the building has two floors (with a low ground floor). The main facade is divided by two avant-corpses. One of them has a tent top, decorated with a kokoshnik-formed shield with a stucco rosette in the center, the other is solved in the form of a two-tiered tower completed with a low tent roof. The windows are rectangular and arched (on the second floor). The arrangement is corridor- and gallery-type with stairs at the ends. From 1914 to 1917, the building housed the governorate branch of the Peasants’ Land Bank.
