The Local History Museum in Kličaŭ was opened in 1969. In a few decades, the exhibition space has doubled, the funds have been replenished with new collections.
The Kličaŭ Local History Museum was established on the basis of the Museum of People's Glory opened on June 5, 1967. The museum has collected a large number of materials that reveal the history of the partisan movement in the Kličaŭ Region during the Second World War. There is also a large exhibition of archaeological finds and exhibits illustrating the region’s historical past.
In 1992, in independent Belarus, the local authorities of Kličaŭ decided to expand the exhibition space. The history of the Kličaŭ Region is reflected in 9 exposition halls of the museum: an introductory hall, an archeology hall, halls "River and Man", "Culture and Life of Farmers", "History of the Kličaŭ Partisan Zone", a nature hall ("Winter Garden"), an exhibition hall. A distinctive feature of the museum is the presence of a pharmacy garden with rare medicinal plants.
The demonstration area of the museum halls is 332.2 square meters. The total number of museum items is 9538 copies. Of these, 5849 items compose the main fund, and 3689 units compose the research and support fund.
