The monument to military journalists was erected in the city park on October 7, 2017. It is a stone to which marble plaques with the names of newspapers published during the Second World War and the corresponding commemorative inscriptions are attached.
The choice of the place for the monument was conditioned by the fact that the newspaper "For the Motherland!" (now "Mahilioŭ Truth") was published underground in Kličaŭ during the Second World War.
The first issue of the regional underground newspaper "For the Motherland!" released on March 24, 1943. It was printed on a portable printing press, which was delivered from across the front line. The newspaper was published until the end of the German occupation of the Kličaŭ Region.
Sculptor Aliaksandr Mińkoŭ is the author of the project of the monument to military journalists.
