“Internet” of the fourteenth century is the “Messenger” sculpture.

The bronze Sculpture “Messenger” was established in Maladziečna in 2011. The monument is situated in the Staroye mesta Square in a park opposite a school. Messenger is the internet of that time. He was announcing acts and orders of local and central authority and also other important information. The sculpture was made not very high, two hundred fifteen – two hundred twenty centimeters, a little higher than human scale, to show that the messenger was familiar to people. The sculpture messenger has a charter in a hand – a document where Maladziečna comes upon for the first time: “…and the charter is given in Maladziečna on Wednesday on the sixteenth of December of 1388”. The author of the sculpture is a famous painter Uladzimir Zhbanau.
