Braslaŭ Lakes National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Belarus.

Braslaŭ Lakes National Park was established in August 1995. The Braslaŭ Group of Lakes was its core. The park includes the southern part of the Braslaŭ District with significant swamps and forests. The total area of ​​the national park is 71.5 thousand hectares. It stretches for 56 kilometers from north to south. About 17% of its territory is occupied by lakes, forests make up 46% of the area.

Within the national park there are a number of interesting natural monuments. These are some brightly reflected glacial landforms, large boulders, islands on lakes, biogroups of rare trees. Due to its location on the Braslaŭ Ridge the local landscapes are really picturesque.

The national park contains many monuments of history and culture: settlements of different ages, burial mounds, religious buildings.

There are about 500 species of flora in the park, 20 species of which are rare for Belarus. There are 189 species of birds, of which 45 species are rare and endangered. Among the animals listed in the Red Book of Belarus: badger, lynx, brown bear, black stork, gray crane, whooper swan.

Braslaŭ Lakes National Park carries out researches, as well as work on nature protection. The city of Braslaŭ, where the management and scientific bases are located, is the centre of the national park. The staff of the park numbers almost 600 people.
