The water tower at the railway station is an architectural monument of the early 20th century.

The water tower was built in the early 20th century, at a time when the railway station appeared here. Water was needed for the trains, and it was decided to pump it just from the Nioman. A water supply was laid from the station to the tower. The pipes were laid at a depth of about five meters.

This system worked back in the 80s of the 20th century. Its high operating costs forced to find a replacement for it. Now there is no need to pump water from the Nioman, and the station building is in a dilapidated condition.
