The Catholic Church of St. Anna or the Church of the God’s Protection is one of the oldest wooden churches in Kojdanava

The Catholic Church of St. Anna was built in 1785. Its architecture combines features of the Baroque and Classicism. The first memory of the construction of a Catholic church on this site dates back to 1453. The Catholic Church of St. Anna is a wonderful monument of wooden architecture. It is a three-nave, two-towered basilica on a high stone plinth. The main facade is solved by a wide vertically hemmed plane.

The Catholic Church of St. Anna functioned until 1945. After the World War II, due to the anti-religious policy of the Soviet government, the church was closed. Its building was converted into a regional cultural centre, a little later there was a music school here. The building of the former catholic church was returned to the believers in 1991. In 1994, the Catholic Church of St. Anna was restored and opened its doors to everyone who wants to take part in the service.
