Pietrykaŭ regional museum of local lore is a place where you can make a trip through the pages of the past of Pietrykaŭ region.
The Pietrykaŭ museum of history and local lore is located in a two-story brick building situated in a picturesque place near Prypiać. The museum was opened to visitors in March 2008. Its total area is 157 square meters.
The museum exposition is divided into two parts. One of them is devoted to archeology and ethnography of Pietrykaŭ region. The second is devoted to the events of the Second World War and the natives of Pietrykaŭ region who fought in Afghanistan.
From October 1, 2014, the museum of Dzied Talaš was attached to the museum of local lore. Since then, the museum has had a department of the history of the partisan movement in Pietrykaŭ region.
Art exhibitions and photo exhibitions are held on the second floor of the museum.
