Memorial sign "Worship Cross" was unveiled on June 7, 2014 on the site of the famous temple "Vitaŭt’s Fara".

The wooden Church of the Most Holy Virgin Mary in Hrodna, better known as Vitaŭt’s Fara, was built in 1389. It became one of the first Catholic churches in the Belarusian lands. Under Stefan Batoryj it was replaced by a stone temple, which adorned the city center for centuries. In 1961, by decision of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee, in line with the anti-religious policy of the Soviet regime, the church was blown up.

Today, there is a public garden with a memorial sign on the site of Vitaŭt’s Fara. The sign consists of two parts of a granite split arch. One part is decorated with an image of an Orthodox cross, the other with a Catholic one. The composition also includes a plaque with a commemorative inscription.

The commemorative sign was unveiled on June 7, 2014. The celebration was attended by Catholic and Orthodox priests who consecrated the memorial sign on the site of Vitaŭt’s Fara.
