Hrodna water towers are monuments of industrial architecture of the neo-Gothic style built in the late 19th – early 20th century.

Water towers appeared in Hrodna at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The towers are 22 meters high. It is believed that the South Tower that has a more modest appearance was built first. The decoration of the doors and window openings in it is painted in a noble white color, and the two floors are separated with unusual cornices.

The appearance of the North Tower can be described as more daring. There are both pilasters and curly excesses on its walls. The tower floors are made of wood. In general, the North Tower looks more extravagant than its neighbor.

The first tower was erected immediately after the construction of a water supply system of Hrodna. The second tower was built when the first one could no longer cope with the constantly increasing volume of water consumption.

Water towers in Hrodna rightfully belong to the list of Belarusian historical and cultural values. They have not been used for their intended purpose for a long time. Now the towers house the workshops of local artists.
