There is a seemingly ordinary brick building on Liermantava Vulica in Hrodna, which outwardly does not differ from others. Nevertheless, it has become one of the favorite places for tourists, because it houses a private Hrodna museum.

The exposition of the museum tells about the life of Belarusians at different times. The owner and creator of the museum is Januš Parulis, a Greek by birth. A sailor by profession, he decided to change his life after long voyages and became an entrepreneur. He organized the first collectors' club in Belarus, and devoted his free time to work in art workshops, and the restoration of ancient Orthodox and Catholic churches.

The museum has a unique atmosphere. There are tens of thousands of exhibits on the compact territory of a small courtyard and half of a private house. At first glance, it seems that there is no order among them. But in fact, each thing takes its own place, and all objects are carefully divided into thematic blocks: peasant life, school, photo and film materials, works of art, etc. A separate place is occupied by stands with genealogies of famous Hrodna families. The museum has exhibits related to the life of the famous writer Eliza Ažeška. The museum owner is especially proud of the ancient postcards and photographs collection. The museum is guided by Januš Parulis himself.
