The Palace of the Vice Governor Maksimovič is a two-story building erected by the Hrodna Vice Governor in 1803 in the style of classicism.
A two-storey building in the classicism style was built by Kandrat Maksimovič in 1803. The central part of the palace is highlighted by four columns and a portico. The layout of the floors is corridor, there are small rooms on the sides and halls at the ends.
During the French-Russian War of 1812, the building housed the headquarters of Jerome Bonaparte, Napoleon's brother. In 1827 the house was taken into the treasury, and later it was rented out for some time. Further the building was used to house various institutions.
During the period when Western Belarus was part of Poland, the former palace housed the estate of the Hrodna Povet Eldership, the city museum and a savings bank. Since the end of the Second World War, this building has been the seat of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee.
