Lyamus of the Brigit monastery is a unique two-story building of the first half of the 17th century in Hrodna. It is a monument of wooden architecture. The Lyamus of the Brigit monastery is the oldest wooden building in Belarus.
The lyamus was built in the early baroque style in the 1630s. It was probably first built as a dwelling house for nuns.
The lyamus is located in the courtyard of the Brigit complex. It is a two-storey rectangular building with a high shingle roof that was built without a single nail on a rubble foundation made of massive timber. All structural elements are connected with truncations and wooden wedges. The main northern facade is decorated with a two-tiered arched gallery with a balustrade on the second floor.
