A ferry crossing, which is rare today for Belarus, is the landmark of Dzisna.
A ferry crossing in Dzisna is a river ship, similar to a barge, which provides seasonal transport across the Dzvina. The ferry crossing in Dzisna connects the village Lunačarskaje in the Vierchniadzvinski district and Dzisna. The ferry is free, departure – every half hour, and the whole journey takes approximately 10 minutes.
The ferry moves thanks to the diesel drive. It moves along two routes – the main and safety. They are held by reinforced concrete pillars on both banks. There is a helmsman on the deck of the ferry who serves the engine and a sailor who monitors the order and safety of passengers.
The ship can accommodate 5-6 cars. Special canopies with seats were made for passengers of the ferry.
