The memorial sign "Pursuit to Grunwald" was installed in Hrodna in 2010 to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the Belarusian-Polish-Lithuanian army’s victory over the crusaders near Grunwald. The Battle of Grunwald took place on July 15, 1410 and was a turning point in the Great War of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland with the Teutonic Order.
In May 1410, troops from all over the Grand Duchy of Lithuania gradually gathered in Hrodna. Among others was the Hrodna gonfalon. The troops gathered under the walls of the Old Castle and near the Boris and Gleb (Kaloža) Church. A solemn prayer was held in this church before the Belarusian knights march.
The memorial sign is a large boulder with a commemorative plate. It depicts the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania "Pahonia".
