One of the most unusual sights of Minsk is the monument to the Mobius strip, which is located at the entrance to the presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The Mobius strip is a geometric figure, the uniqueness of which is that the ball can roll on the surface without stopping, rolling from the outside of the figure to the inside. Moreover, the ball never rolls over the edge of the figure. It is believed that the strip received the name in honor of the famous German mathematician Augustus Mobius.

The monument to the Mobius strip is a rather young landmark in the Belarusian capital. The authors of the sculpture were specialists of the scientific and production association “Center”. The sculpture looks very realistic and attractive. The figure itself rises on the pedestal, and a ball rolls along its inner side. Everything shines and sparkles in the sun.
