The monument to Adam Mickievič in Minsk is a three-meter bronze sculpture. It is installed in the park of the same name, which is located at the intersection of Niamiha and Ramanaŭskaja Slabada.
Adam Mickievič is a classic of world literature of the 19th century. The great poet was born in Belarus and loved the Belarusian language, although he wrote his works in Polish. The most famous work of Adam Mickievič is “Pan Tadeusz”. This national epic has become an encyclopedia of Belarusian gentry’s way of life and a literature masterpiece.
The authors of the project are sculptors Aliaksandr Finski and Andrej Zaspicki, architect Hieorhij Fiodaraŭ. The sculpture of Adam Mickievič is an image of a poet who after long journeys returned to his homeland.
The grand opening of the monument to Adam Mickievič took place in 2003 with the participation of the official representatives of Belarus and Poland.
