St. Elias Chapel in Hlybokaje – one of the attractions of the Hlybokaje Region. It attracts all indifferent to the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus.
Catholic Chapel of St. Elias, which is located in the cemetery "Kopcieŭka", was built in the late 18th century, and according to some sources in 1804. Earlier a wooden church founded by Carmelites was on this place. Chapel is not a gothic building with steeples and vaults, which seek up, but more squat, solid building in the classical style. Chapel of St. Elias has a small turret above its main entrance. Previously, the wall of the chapel had been decorated with small frescoes of incredible beauty, while in the 1930s of the last century, the walls were plastered.
In Soviet times Chapel of St. Elias did not work, and gradually declined. In the 80s of the 20th century the roof of the chapel collapsed, destroying beautiful painting.
To date, this small church is conserved and is in a strong but closed state.
