Church of St. Anthony of Padua is located on Lienina Street. This building is on the list of Belarusian historical and cultural values. Its construction was started by the order of the Russian Emperor Alexander I in 1813 to celebrate the victory in the War of 1812. However, in spite of the money allocated by the government the church was completed only in 1853. The main facade of the building look out on the main city road, so the building is organically included in its urban ensemble. The monumentality of the temple is enhanced by its location on a natural hill. The building of the church in late Baroque style has a simple three-dimensional composition and is rectangular in plan volume under a gable roof. The Church of St. Anthony of Padua functioned as a parish church until the 30s of the twentieth century. In the BSSR, after the closing a regional industrial plant, a furniture shop were in the church building in different years. After partial repair it was planned to make a club and a cafe in it. In 1993, through the efforts of catholic faithful the building of the church was returned to them.
