In this house №59 on U. Karatkievič street Uladzimir Karatkievič wrote a variety of his famous works.
The famous Belarusian writer Uladzimir Karatkievič was inspired by corners of Rahačoŭščyna. The house in which a lot of famous works were written was built in nineteen fourteen by grandfather of the writer Vasil Hrynkievič.
Uladzimir Karatkievič came here on summer vacation to the beloved grandmother Liudmila Antonaŭna Barysievič. As an an adult, he also liked to come to Rahačoŭ very much. Sometimes he lived during several months in a grandfather's house where he had a separate room. Here the writer found inward peace. Sometimes he brought friends and coworkers there. In Rahačoŭ such famous works as "Boat of despair", "Hoary legend", partly "Ears under your sickle" and partly "Christ landed in Harodnia" were bethought and written.
