A Catholic church was built in Sianno in the early 17th century and was destroyed in Soviet period. Only in 1990, a temporary wooden chapel was built for the faithful. In 2001, a new parish of the Holy Trinity was registered.

The Sianno Catholic church was erected  in the early 17th century and belonged to the Franciscans. After the uprising in 1863–1864, they were exiled from Sianno, and the church became diacesial. The Catholic parish in Sianno ceased its existence in 1937, when the Soviet authorities repressed the last priest. The temple was destroyed on September 17, 1962.

During the collapse of the Soviet Union, in 1990, a temporary wooden chapel was built, and on March 28, 2001, the Sianno Parish of the Holy Trinity was officially registered.
