The museum tells you about the history of the town, history of a family of Tyškievičs, about wars of nineteenth and twentieth centuries and the uprising of 1863-1864.

Historical regional museum of Svislač is located in a building of the beginning of the twentieth century. Originally, it was a Jewish tavern. Then, after the Second World War, there was a collective farm board, a hotel, a music school in the building. In nineteen seventy-nine a historical-regional museum was opened in the building. The number of showpieces of in the main fund is more than seven thousand seven hundred units, of a scientific fund – more than four thousand six hundred units. More than ten thousand people visit the museum each year, more than two hundred eighty excursions are held.
