The oldest church in Svislač.
In the nineteenth century, it was built as a Catholic chapel and was consecrated by a local priest. The chapel was projected as a table-tomb because there was a special charnel-house with closed windows inside it. In particular, ashes of Juzefa Tyškievič – wife of Tadevuš Tyškievič, the owner of Svislač of that time – was brought into this table-tomb. The chapel existed until the middle of the twentieth century. When the orthodox temple of Svislač burnt down in the fire during the Second World War, the chapel came into use as an Orthodox parish. Now it is the Orthodox Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. It is situated at the city cemetery. Unfortunately, the original building hasn't been preserved.
