Uladzimir Kavalionak is a Belarusian cosmonaut, native of land of Krupki.

In nineteen eighty-four the bust of the cosmonaut Uladzimir Kavalionak, who had been born on the third of March in nineteen forty-two in the village Bielaje of Krupki district of Minsk region, was placed on a tall granitical pedestal. After finishing school in Krupki district he continued his studies in Balashov in Air Force Academy (in Russia) which he finished in nineteen sixty-three. From the ninth till the eleventh of October nineteen seventy-seven Uladzimir Kavalionak took his first flight spaceward on space vehicle "Union-25". In general he spent on orbit two hundred sixteen days including two hours in deep sky. From nineteen eighty-nine till nineteen ninety-two he was a people's deputy of the Republic of Belarus. Now he lives in the Russian Federation.
