Sluck went down in the history of Belarus by the production of special, so-called Sluck belts which got its name from the name of the city.

Sluck sashes are manufactures of hand loom weaving in Grand Duchy of Lithuania, an element of traditional dress man attire of the Belarusian nobles. Sashes had big value and were passing as inheritance. It's an interesting fact that in the Grand Duchy only men sashes were weaving: a process of weaving was necessitating vast physical efforts. Museum of history of Sluck sashes has an original and a copy of a legendary sash. The exposition tells how a manufactury in which sashes were being made was working in the eighteenth — nineteenth centuries, shows clothes which representatives of the nobles and simple peasants were wearing. An honor of the museum is a weaver's loom of German firm Mageda. The museum is located by a factory "Sluck sashes" which specializes in delivery of weaving manufactures. The museum works daily except Monday, from nine till seventeen thirty. When visiting the museum on a work day excursionists are allowed to keep an eye on work of Sluck weaver. And in a crush room of the museum there is a gift shop in which you can buy unique gifts from the factory and also goods of other Belarusian manufacturers.
