Monument to Safija Sluckaja – the last representative of a princely family of Alieĺkavičs – stands in a small square on the Maksima Bahdanoviča street.
Safija Sluckaja (fifteen eighty-five – sixteen twelve), married to a Niasviž prince a protestant Januš Radzivil, remained orthodox. She was devoting funds for building of evangelic temples and hospitals for poor. The monument to her was opened in Sluck on the twenty-four of September two thousand. A sculptor Michail Ińkoŭ and an architect Mikalaj Lukjančyk are the authors of the monument. Gesture of the left hand of Safija means an appeal to stop and to think. Except a bronze sculpture the monument includes also an arch which consists of three "petals" and symbolizes Christian Church.
