City of Chojniki harmed large of the emergency of Chernobyl accident.

Now land of Chojniki gradually tries to relive from a tremendous blow superimposed by the accident at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant on the twenty sixth of April nineteen eighty-six. The Monument to Sorrow, established to the decade of the accident at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, with carved on a marble slab names of villages which disappeared forever from geographic map, reminds of the tragedy which occurred in Chojniki.
